The National Commission of Mediators acts as part of the Ukraine Supreme Legal Council and aims to establish the level of professional training of persons who intend to acquire the right to engage in mediation activities. The National Commission of Mediators acts under the Board of USLC.
NKMU operates with four members.
The powers of the National Commission of Mediators include:
- organizing and conducting a qualification examination of mediators;
- making decisions on issuing a certificate of the right to engage in mediation activities;
- making decisions on the cancellation of the certificate of the right to engage in mediation activities;
- making decisions on depriving the mediator of a profile in the Unified Register of Mediators of Ukraine;
- making decisions on issuing a service certificate of the mediator.
